Growing power and energy consultancy expands team and opens new offices

Roadnight Taylor, an independent power consultancy, has appointed an experienced land and energy professional, Richard Palmer, to the team. With the third new appointment in less than a year, the company has relocated to new offices in Burford, Oxfordshire to accommodate the growing team.

Richard Palmer joins Roadnight Taylor as Senior Consultant. In his role he will be providing commercial, industrial, farming and local authority clients advice on how they can reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint and increase revenues by combining a mix of energy generation, flexibility, and storage technologies behind their electricity meters. This will include integrating renewable and microgrid technologies, battery storage, demand response and electric vehicles into energy solutions.

Richard has over 20 years energy industry experience initially holding senior commercial roles at National Power (now npower) involving energy trading, retail pricing and renewable generation. He completed a Masters in Real Estate at the University of Reading in 2007 and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor to bring his energy expertise to the rural land market. He worked in rural practice for ten years for international, national and regional firms including a role where he was Head of Energy and Rural Estate Business Management and more recently, he developed the energy services proposition at a leading national property consultancy.

Following the appointment of Richard plus a Senior Engineer and a Business Development Manager in the last nine months, Roadnight Taylor have moved to new offices in Burford, Oxfordshire to accommodate the recent staff recruitment and support the company’s strategy to grow and diversify its service offerings.
