The Syngenta Sprays & Sprayers Arena showcases the most accurate and efficient spraying technology. The latest sprayers will be put through their paces including air-assisted, skid unit, self-propelled, trailed and mounted sprayers. 2) Crop plot comparisons
Farmers and agronomists can take a tour of the Agronomy Zone to see how current and future varieties are performing. With reducing input costs uppermost in farmers’ minds, breeding disease resistance into varieties remains a key goal for breeders.
Legumes are also receiving particular attention due to their nitrogen fixing ability. And growers will be able to check out herbicide and fungicide performance in the demonstration plots. Organisations exhibiting in the Agronomy Zone include Syngenta, KWS, LSPB, Rothamsted, Corteva, Premium Crops, NIAB, Bayer, Senova, DSV, PGRO and AICC.
3) Superior knowledge exchange
Cereals has two theatres running throughout the event this year – the AHDB Theatre and the Farmers Weekly New Era Theatre – giving visitors the opportunity to listen to and debate the latest thinking on the industry’s future.
The AHDB Theatre seminars cover how legislation, innovation, skills and partnerships support the continued delivery of high-quality food while meeting society’s environmental needs and the financial needs of the arable sector.
With farms needing to ensure they thrive economically while looking after and enhancing the environment, the Farmers Weekly New Era Theatre seminars will cover emerging initiatives to support farmers transitioning their businesses towards a more sustainable future.
